A Bridgerton-inspired comedy show!
Dearest audience,
You are cordially invited to Regency, Bandit Theater’s most scandalously delightful improvised affair. Inspired by the wit of Jane Austen and the intrigue of Regency England, this fully improvised show spins tales of romance, rivalry, and reputation—where every glance holds meaning and every whisper may spark a duel.
Expect sharp-tongued banter, swooning declarations, and the occasional social misstep as our players navigate love, class, and the ever-watchful eye of polite society. No script, no safety net—just quick minds, bold choices, and a touch of delicious drama.
Dress to impress (or simply arrive curious), and prepare for an evening where fortunes are made, hearts are broken, and anything can happen… provided it’s proper.

(She/Her) Julia was first introduced to improv comedy via an Improv for Everyone workshop hosted by Bandit Theater, and was immediately drawn to the culture of inclusivity, psychological safety, and silliness that’s inherent to the Bandit community. Since then, she’s been an avid student and performer at Bandit, and is a cast member on The Reader. In her day job, Julia is a Finance Manager at a tech company where she has gained experience in navigating ambiguous business problems, and using data to inform decision-making. She is excited to partner her experience in data analysis and business strategy with her values of Community and Growth to expand Bandit’s outreach and impact in the Seattle area.
(He/Him) John is a returning to improv after taking break to get his shit together. Before this version, John did longform improv shows with jet city improv, and a weekly improv podcast. Before that he wandered in the wilderness of service jobs, and in the distant mists of history he studied acting in college and tried to work as an actor in Chicago and los Angeles. I know he doesn’t seem that old? now He spends time being a best uncle to a brilliant niece and nephew, trying to do a maximum number of push-ups, zipping around on scooter, and working on a psychology degree. He is very grateful to be a part of the bandit company and this show!
(He/Him) Paul Curry is a gay Seattle comedy boy who looks like he’s 13 or 30. Paul has been doing stand up comedy for five years and has recently started improvisational comedy. Self-described "champion", Paul performed in Bumbershoot 2019’s local comic’s showcase and was recently a finalist at the Tacoma Super Funny Comedy Club Funniest Mother F’er competition. Paul is also Dungeon Master in the sensational Seattle/Tacoma show Dungeons and Drag Queens.
(He/Him) Zach is a Seattle area native through and through, despite a five-year London detour that permanently broke his ability to pronounce "tomato." A Bandit graduate and Tumbleweeds alum, he now performs with the First Date cast where he hunts for the shared absurdities that let an audience really connect and have fun. He is an erstwhile corporate minion, a devoted fan of his puggle, Phee, and a firm believer that you can never spend too much time discussing the perfect way to cook an egg.
(She/Her) Annie Barry is the founder and Producing Artistic Director of Bandit Theater. She began her improv training at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City in 2009, studying with renowned teachers and performers including Will Hines, Brandon Gardner, Gavin Speiller, Erik Tanouye, Chelsea Clarke, and Jordan Klepper.
Annie was later cast on Graceland, one of UCB’s first Lloyd Teams. In 2012, Graceland became the first Lloyd Team to be promoted to Harold Night together as a complete ensemble.
After leaving New York, Annie continued her training and artistic development in New Orleans and Washington, D.C., where she explored relationship-driven improvisation and learned to blend emotionally grounded scene work with game-based long-form comedy.
In 2018, Annie founded Bandit Theater with the goal of cultivating community, fostering creativity, and inspiring personal growth through the art of comedy. She helped develop Bandit’s improv curriculum, teaches improv, and leads the theater’s sketch comedy classes. At Bandit, she has performed in and directed productions including The Reader, Swipe Right, Inkprov Tacoma, and Regency. Her work emphasizes playful collaboration, strong ensemble relationships, memorable characters, and comedy grounded in genuine human connection.
(He/Him) Stephen has been performing and teaching longform improv for over 20 years. He's made Bandit Theater his improv home because he loves its inclusive community, supportive environment, excellent staff, and comedy philosophy. When not performing improv, raising his newborn son, or taking his dog to parks, he's working in his laugh-a-minute job handling corporate communications for a tech company.
(He/Him) Sam Cooper is Pacific Northwest native with a lifelong passion for making those around him laugh. After taking his first improv class in 2017 he was hooked. Today you can find him peforming for Bandit Theater's Inkprov as well as serving on the Board of Directors. Outside of comedy he enjoys movies, photography, and pampering his fur baby Terabyte.
